PRINCIPLE #1 - We start with the foundation of all doctrine

- the WORDS OF THE LORD

Psalm 12: 6 - 7

“The words of the LORD are pure words:

as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt

preserve them from this generation for ever.”

(Emphasis and underline mine)

Quoted from the ‘Authorized Holy Bible’ first printed in England in 1611 – the final 1769 edition that we trust and use in our day, also known as the ‘Authorized Version’ (AV), the ‘King James Bible’ (KJB) and the ‘King James Version’ (KJV)

Many modern “bibles” have corrupted and changed this verse

and it has a completely different meaning.

That was shocking to me when I first discovered it.^¹

NIV – 1978 states in verse 7

“O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.”

This is a shame and a disgrace as it departs from the underlying Hebrew text.
